A media kit is a creative collaboration of written articles that double as a tool for public relations. In its final form, the entirety of the kit works to promote a relevant piece of information as newsworthy material. The content of this media kit includes a sample news release, backgrounder, and factsheet – all of which are linked on the same premise. These pieces of work were designed to highlight the struggle and difficulties that the Vancouver Canucks were facing on an extended road streak dated November 7, 2016. The purpose of the media kit is to tell a story, inform publics, and provide the necessary background information for differing means of communication and press.
